Apart from our everyday teaching efforts, we offer additional educational support with the goal of prolonging the educational life of each child.
The reality is that classrooms are overcrowded and teachers lack the necessary resources and support, therefore most kids with learning difficulties are unfortunately neglected or don’t receive the extra support they need. Therefore our volunteers, especially those that speak Spanish can play a crucial role in working one on one with those children that are struggling, by offering literacy or catch up classes.
A little attention goes a long way in helping a child stay in school rather than dropping out, because it makes a child’s learning experience more pleasurable.
