In March of 2017, the state of Piura endured major flooding due to excessive rain in the region. In the village of Altos de los Mores, many homes were flooded; causing sickness, destroying crops and rendering one of the only bridges in town inoperative.

Thankfully, AYNI’s team of volunteers were out distributing emergency food kits for families without food or for those unable to afford the price hike of basic necessities. Over 250 families  received supplies from the generous support of our donors. The community was extremely grateful and undoubtedly benefited from our efforts.

Knowing that a threat of such catastrophic nature can come on as quickly as we recently saw, we are asking that you donate today and help our contingency plan for relief efforts. Any amount can make a difference.
